Philips is introducing a new kind of television. The tv, which looks like a normal ambilight, has a build in ethernet connection and a browser. So you can enjoy the best of the web from your lazy couch.
Wannahaves asked me to develop an ce-html page for use with this new tv. Although philips provided plenty of documentation, it still was a challenge to make an “apple” like navigation menu on a 300mhz processor. But finally the site is ready to go through the philips validation procedure.
The new tv’s are expected to be released end of this year and philips has a program for 3rd party webdevelopers to geton the stream. If you want to see more, check out the video we made at IFA 2008: Watch the philips net tv in action
I just uploaded some concept art i did for tha5elements.
At the moment i’m working on a design for their new site, and am trying some approaches for their look-and-feel. This first approach is a bit over the top, but i’m working on tuning it down a bit.
tha5elements is a growing hip-hop community, and they want their new site to reflect just what they stand for…[Respect]
